Yoga
YTS was created as a space to offer classes in yoga for those looking to spend intentional time on the mat. If you are unsure about trying yoga for the first time, this is a welcoming space that can offer you support throughout out the class. With many different styles available hopefully there will be an option for you.
Meet the teacher

The YTS has myself (Meg) as the teacher for most of the scheduled classes as I created the space for the opportunity to share my classes. I also have guest teachers with an intention to open the space to more styles & teachers in the upcoming months.
Teacher Training
I am a 200hr YTT Certified teacher in Vinyasa, Ashtanga & Yin. I did my training in September 2021 in the south of Spain at Wild Warrior Yoga. Taught by Morwenna, Lascel & Emily, some of the loveliest, passionate & energetic people I have met. Morwenna glided us through Vinyasa traditions, creative sequencing alongside helping to introduce & decipher the wonderfully complex Yoga Philosophy teachings. Lascel instilled in us the commandments of Ashtanga & helped us to dissect anatomy & its relationship to yoga. I was introduced to Yin by Emily, a style I didn’t fully appreciate initially however through more study & practice I have come to really appreciate this.
Teaching Experience
My experience hadsbeen for almost 3 years now teaching in studios, surf camps & retreats.
I returned home from my YTT to join Mysore practice at my local studio Yoga at the reach where I met Nicola. A stunningly efficient & certified Ashtanga teacher. I was grateful to join further classes where we explored deeper the teachings of Patangali & ways in which to help align & adjust students. Joining the timetable here to cover Ashtanga Half Primary Led classes, Vinyasa & Yin style classes. I left my home town to begin teaching Yin at retreats in Tenerife before finding myself in Morocco teaching at various surf camps & at my space. My learning continues daily with each class I prepare & every student is different which brings new lessons.
Style
I prepare classes with a mix of movements with options to challenge yourself. I love to share alignment & guidance on the traditional teachings however it is more important for me to see you are listening to your body & that there is more focus on the feeling of the stretch than the shape. I also encourage a lot of observance & reflection within the class to allow you time to understand your body’s capabilities, any limitations & any sensations. The purpose of all my classes is to practice being present & nourish the body through mindful movements whilst feeling comfortable to completely let go & have fun with it. I also like to allow time where possible after the class to reflect on the class, ask any questuons or maybe enjoy a mindful chat with a cup of tea 🙂
Classes
There are a lot of classes available based around my experience with Ashtanga, Vinyasa & Yin. Each have different aims & benefits. The space allows for up to 5 yogis to practice which offers more guidance & support throughout. For Yoga we typically begin with techniques to become precent, deepening our focus with Mindfulness & Pranayama (breathing techniques). I then guide a sequence of movements & Asanas (postures) finally closing the class in relaxation/meditation.
